The Jets Will Continue To Fly in Week 7 vs. The Broncos

The NFL is finally hitting it's stride as we are entering Sunday of week 7. Just to recap on my prediction from last week's Thursday's night matchup between the Commanders and the Bears, I couldn't have been more precise. You could have went to a Zoltar machine and you still wouldn't have gotten as accurate a prediction as mine. I labeled this game a snooze fest and that's the only word that could have been used to describe this game. When there is only three total points scored in the first half I think labeling this game a snooze fest more than applicable. I also was right in my prediction of who would win this game with the Commanders winning this game 12 to 7 in an ugly fashion and that's an understatement. The Commanders offense was only able to put up 86 passing yards and 214 total yards compared to the Bears 391 total yards yet still managed to come out on top which is what makes this game such an anomaly. Hopefully these week 7 matchups aren't as ugly as this past Thursday and I can continue this accuracy as we take on week 7 of the NFL.

The game that intrigues me the most this fine NFL Sunday is the New York Jets heading to Denver to face the Broncos. These are two teams that are both doing the exact opposite of what they were predicted to do prior to this NFL season. The Jets were talked about like they were going to be the regular old Jets and show no progression while being mediocre but they are proving everyone wrong so far this season showing competence on all sides of the ball. Meanwhile, the Broncos coming into this season were touted as one of the best teams in the NFL after acquiring Russell Wilson, building a solid defense, and making Nathaniel Hackett Head Coach. In light of all this, the Broncos have done nothing but disappoint and tarnish all the expectations that were held for them. The biggest dissapointment has been the offense who's production has been nothing but pathetic averaging about 15 points a game and putting up more than 20 points just once so far this year. This is just partly why I think this game is gonna go the way things have been going for both teams with the Jets flying into Denver and securing a win. First off, the Broncos will be without Russell Wilson this week due to a hamstring injury so the offense will be led behind Brett Rypien. Brett Rypien has started one NFL game in his career which came in week 4 of the 2020 NFL season where you could only guess who he beat... the Jets. All that aside, the Jets statistically so far this season are a much better team than the Denver Broncos. The Broncos rank dead last in Redzone effeciency, 30th in third down conversion rate, 30th in first downs, and 27th in sacks allowed. This "highly touted" offense has been nothing but a trainwreck compared to the Jets offense which in their last three games have put up more points then the Broncos have in a game all year. So, with Brett Rypien steering the ship, the Broncos offense being able to get nothing going even with Russell Wilson in, and the Jets finding their groove with this three gamer winning streak I think there gonna make it four after rolling into Denver and beating the Broncos who really are a bad football team rigtht now. #football #sports #NFLweek7 @PikulsPicks
