Niners vs. Rams: Niners Will Shine Against Defending Super Bowl Champs

We have basically hit the mid way point of the NFL season and we have another full slate of football to enjoy tomorrow. Before I get into my prediction for this week, as I do with every blog I want to review how my last prediction went. I have extended the streak to 3 as I was correct with Ravens soaring into Tampa Bay and adding onto Tom Brady's losing streak. Lamar Jackson threw for 238 yards and rushed for an additional 43 while the rest of the offense was clicking. 453 total yards, 6.1 yards per play, and 231 total rushing yards in comparison to a Buccaneer offense that yet again continued to struggle not even being able hit 50 yards rushing. So, the Bucs woes continue to grow as they drop to 3-5 and I continue to predict these outcomes right as I am now 3-0 when picking these games and am looking to move to 4-0 after this Sunday.

The game I am most confident in this weekend is another divisonal matchup in the NFC West where the Niners are heading down to Los Angeles to take on the Reigning Super Bowl champion Rams. These are two teams that had phenomenal years last year and had very high expectations coming into this year. Although having these high expectaions for this year, neither team has really lived up to them with the Rams sitting at 3-3 and the Niners sitting at 3-4 but now is the time of year both these teams can really prove themselves. Although both these teams are trying to find their stride I really like the 49ers taking this game on the road. First, the Niners just acquired Chrstian McCaffery argubaly the best running back in the game so this will not only shift a Niners offense from mediocre to solid but also give them a major edge in this divisional matchup. Also offensively the Rams have been performing really poorly. They are dead last in turnovers averaging 2.2 per game, dead last in rushing yards averaging 70.5 per game and dead last in sacks allowed allowing 3.7 per game. Defensively the Rams are much stronger which comes from having two of the best defensive players in football in Jalen Ramsay and Aaron Donald. But the Niners have another very strong defense which should capatilize against this weak offense. Lastly, in their last five matchups against each other the Rams have only won once. So, with struggling to find an offensive grove, the 49ers just getting a huge offensive pickup, and the Niners dominating the majority of past matchups everything is leaning toward the 49ers tomorrow which is why I love them in LA tomorrow. #NFL #week8 #CMC #NINERS
